Big Bash League Update - Thunder, Renegades crash out
The Brisbane Heat kept their winning momentum going, and consequently moved to the top four of the KFC Big Bash League, after a crushing 91-run victory over Sydney Thunder – becoming the first team to crash out of the competition.

The second side to bid farewell was Melbourne Renegades after they were beaten by Hobart Hurricanes who booked their passage to the finals, which will be staged on their home ground.
