I am finding Big Black Ants in my house. Never had them until I moved here. This is my first summer in this home. I am moving soon, what if they follow?? How do I get rid of them once and 4 all w/o spending alot of money? I have a baby on the way, so something safe. Please help!

  1. Go to a garden shop or hardware store and purchase a product called Terro.   Ant killer, contains Borax.

    Follow directions on box.

  2. Salt! I use salt in all the opening that they come in and out of, it really works! Since I did it I haven't seen any in my house. I haven't even had to reapply any since and they started maybe then middle of April.

Good luck and congrats on your new addition:)

  3. Use a mix of cinnamon and sugar. The ants will pick up the sugar, along with the cinnamon, and take it back to their queen. Ants can’t digest cinnamon and once the queen dies from not being able to digest the cinnamon the colony will die without her.

  4. We have a little bottle of "goop" that we put on a piece of cardboard on either side of the sink. We got ours at the hardware store. It takes a week or so, but after that they are all gone for the season.

  5. they usually go on there own
