Big Black Hawk to dominate the Angus Rowland Memorial Race at Hove on 5th April
The Angus Rowland Memorial Race is to get staged at Hove over 515 metres on Thursday, 5th April. Competing tonight are Snowdon Flyer, Big Black Hawk, Droopys Oscar, Droopys Boo, Fridays Reason and Fatboyz Pacquiao. The prize money for the race
is set at £150.
Leading with the best credentials as compared to the rest of the lineup is Big Black Hawk, Westmead Hawk’s three-year-old black son out of b***h Batiss Slimline. He has won thrice out of the ten races that he took part in. All the three came after a missing
the race or sometimes races in between, nothing paired up and no hat trick whatsoever.
His first win of the season was in the form of Bobby’s 70th Birthday Trophy on 21st January at Hove over 515 metres. He reached the other end of the wire in 30.26 seconds while he led the runner up, Helenas Impact, by 2 ¼ lengths.
Concluding the race third was the 7/4 favourite of the race, Droopys Ulick.
He then scored second in the Coral Hove Standard – Triplicated on 2nd February at Hove over 515 metres. The 2/1 favourite winner of the race, Millwards Blag, completed the trip in 29.88 seconds. Big Black Hawk followed right in after finishing
the track distance in 29.98 seconds.
Coming at terms with the third position in the race was Pennys Toby.
Second time that Big Black Hawk won during the season was in the Grade A2 515 metres flat at Hove on 11th February. The 5/4 favourite winner reached the wire in 30.13 seconds and had 4 ¾ lengths under his charge. Joining the winner behind the
wire was Johnster.
Racing through the wire third after the winner was Fabulous Acclaim.
Yet again instead of collecting more victories, Big Black Hawk was placed second in the Ginger Matthews Stag Doo Derby on 25th February at Hove over 515 metres.
His third and last victory of the season till yet was in the Grade A2 515 metres flat race at Hove on 31st March. The 2/1 favourite winner of the race clocked the track distance in 30.28 seconds.
Parking in for the second spot was Pams Alan who was soon joined by Swift Lesson.
He does have quite high chances of winning today.
