Ok, so I was wondering if anyone on here has ever gone to one of those super liquidation events you always hear about on Channel 95.5 The add on the radio says they will give you 3000 minimum for your trade, whether it runs or not.

If you've done this before, was it a good idea or was it a rip off. My car just died, and I really really need a newer one fast.

Thank you in advance

  1. The ad that you are talking about is a come on just to get you in to the office to buy a car and they will give you $3000 off the cost of a new car (well kind of) they will give you the $3000 off of the list but they will not reduce the vehicle because they are willing to trade this way so what you are getting is really nothing. You would do better going to a dealer that is not offering this deal and see what kind of a deal he can give you I'll bet that he will give you a better deal and you will end up with a better car and the payment will end up lower. The $3000 is nothing more that "eye candy" and they want you to feel like they are your long lost uncle and have come to save the day for you, but in real life they are only interested in getting as much money from you as they can.

I have been in your shoes and I know from experience that it isn't what you think it is but at least check out otter dealers right now they are all trying to sell getting ready for their new models to come in. They will try to move mountains for your business, now just a little advice, as long as you are going to have to go into debt for this car make sure that is is a high mileage (miles per gallon) yield vehicle. it is as easy to pay for one of them as it is for one that doesn't get good mileage and gas is going to go up. look for $5.00 by the end of the year
