  1. He will win the preakness  by 9 and one half lengths.

As far as the Triple Crown?

    One race at a time.........

  2. I am not sure

he ran a hard race in the derby

and now he only has 2 weeks to return

    I think he'll get beat ??

  3. I think he'll have to make an effort. Much has been said about his feet - the Preakness is a firmer footing which can affect that.

But he'll be retired at the end of the year. I'd lay a bigger bet on that than a Triple Crown. There's negotiations underway for his breeding rights - and you can bet it's not cheap. If he makes it to the Breeders Cup he'll be gone.

  4. I think he will.He is a great race horse but his competition this year is sub par.I don't see any other horse able to callange.

  5. He just might do it.  Needs to win Preakness first, and we need to see by how many lengths.

Just because they're looking at stud potential doesn't mean his career is nearly over.  It would be great to see how many wins he gets before first loss.

  6. Your question certainly rhymes, doesn't it? As for whether the colt will win, time will tell...

  7. only that filly,PROUD SPELL,has a chance to deny him a triple crown.

  8. I think he has a chance. He won the Derby from the farthest post position (post 20). That hasn't been accomplished since 1929. He might have a little trouble with the Preakness because he has only 2 weeks to get ready for it. I don't think the track will bother him nor the tight turns.

  9. It might happen...

Everyone is backing down to take him on in the PREAKNESS. So he'll have no problem winning on on May 17th.

But what about the Belmont Race?

What if he stumbles at the start? (Like War Emblem Did)

What if the horse can't settle down and the fractions are too fast to win the Belmont. (Like Smarty Jones)

What if he runs into a horse we don't know about that's bred for the marathon distance? ( Happend to Curlin against  Rags to Riches... No Tripple Crown Bid was on the line though.)

What if the exercise jockey screws up and over works him on a gruelling pace of 55 seconds days before the race. (That Happens All Too Often.)

Or what if Kent Desormeaux screws it up and makes a mistake like taking it easy after getting a big league down the stretch before the final furlong. (Happened to Real Quiet ridden By Kent D.)

Getting by the preakness? No Problem!

Getting by the Belmont? that's gonna be 50/50 at best

  10. I,d love too see it happen, he demolished the derby field and

will be the big favorite in the preakness, the problem is most of the horses entered in the preakness will be fresh and he won,t as only 1 other derby horse is entered so far, he,ll have the same trouble in the belmont.....all these trainers gear there horses up for a particular leg of triple crown and go into the race with a well rested horse. big brown won,t be rested for the belmont...period.....there  may never be a triple crown winner in our lifetime if they don,t put more time between races.....these are not the trotters who can run everyweek....

    bye,

  11. i dont follow racing that closely but i really hope so....i want a triple crown winner... i hope he doesn't get hurt like barbaros or whatever it was a couple years ago

  12. Yes he will. I put him first in the Derby also.

  13. I think I'm giving up on handicapping the Triple Crown races after my picks dismal performances in the Derby.  But I just found out that I'm not going to be able to watch the Belmont so with my luck, that means Big Brown will win the Triple with a breathtaking Belmont performance that I'll be hearing about for years to come.
