  1. Curlins time for the Dubai World Cup was 2:00.15, the third fastest time for the event. Big Browns' time for the Derby was 2:01.85, but he was 4 and 5 wide and came from post 20. So you can factor all that in. Also Heatseeker will be in the Classic at the Breeders Cup Champanionship. I think this will be a good test for all 3 at  1 1/4 mile.

  2. big brown will.. i am sure of it

  3. I would also take Curlin, but I disagree with the one poster. This would be a great match even if Big Brown does NOT win the Triple crown

  4. Big browns owners said yesterday that the Travers and Breeders Cup is still on their schedule.  They even went as far as to say if Curlin does not run in the breeders cup cause he may run in the Triomphe de Arc that they would try to find a race after the breeders cup to face Curlin.  it seems like they really want this match up to happen.  a match race was brought up but quickly shot down by BB's owner.  Curlins trainer also seems excited about the two facing each other at some time.  ill tell you what , it would be an incredibly anticipated matchup and GREAT for horse racing. not to mention incredible to watch. ofcourse BB has to win the triple crown first.  lets take things one step at a time.

  5. I don't think we can tell at this point who would win...Curlin is awesome we already know that. Big Brown however hasn't been challenged by anyone so we really have no clue as to how talented he really may be or may not be. He has won all his races pretty much by hand riding..What if he was really asked? He may have so much more there that we've never seen. I don't know who I would want to win but I sure hope we can see them run against each other. I think the sport could really use such an event. In fact I read this morning there is talks about trying to get them together at Suffolk downs in Sept with a 5million dollar incentive. Check out the story on ESPN.com.

  6. Curlin would dominate wouldn't even be close.

  7. I love both horses.... they are just awesome! What Curlin did last year as 3 yeard old in 9 months from a maiden to a Breeders cup classic was just sick, sames goes for Big Brown, what he has done in his last 3 races has been sick as well, winning the fl derby from post 12 and winning the Derby from post 20 is just amazing and the way he play with is opponents in the Preakness..... but i have to go with Curlin.... look at Curlins beyers speeds, 114, 119 in the classic last year and they way he won in Dubai was too easy... even if biggie wins the TC (which he will) i don't think he will be able to beat Curlin

  8. I  've got a better one for you: Secretariat (in prime & alive) vs Big Brown.

    Secretariat by about 1/2 mile.

  9. Curlin by a widening 4 lengths. I sincerely hope there isn't talk about a match race, but this industry needs a late-summer storyline badly. The only possible meeting - besides some contrived event - will be the BC Classic later in the year.

  10. genrelly speaking i would bak the older smarter more experienced horse to win...... in this case curlin!

but this is racing anything can happen!

especially when the weights come out, curlin could be weighted out of contention, so alot will have to do with the handicapper as he alocates the weights!

  11. (Dragonmi)..

Please dont compare any horse to Secretariat.

I doubt if there will ever be another......

He was just way to awesome!!

  12. Curlin is one of the best I have seen in a long time.   It would be a great race to see them together because they are exact opposites in racing styles.     Curlin was only 2 when he was first entered into the Derby and was 3 barely by the time the Derby was run.  Saw him live at the last Preakness year when he ran away with it.  He is now 4 years old and has kept his winning ways.    I think he would take Big Brown in a race.     Just my personal opinion but the batch of horses last year was much better than this time around.   Street Sense was incredible as well.
