Big Buck’s claims the Liverpool Hurdle – Horse Racing Update
Aintree race-course is the centre of attention for the fans of the sport and all those involved in the business of horse-racing. The John Smith’s Grand National event that has started from Thursday is in the limelight for horse-racing. The critics of the
sport are excited to see their favourite race-horses compete against each other.
It was indeed a good day for the fans and connections of Big Buck’s since the race-horse once again dominated the Liverpool Hurdle that took place at the Aintree race-course. The Grade I event that took place on Thursday and was run over a distance of 3
miles and a half furlongs. This BGC Partners Liverpool Hurdle was open to racehorses of age 4 and above.
Big Buck’s gave a spectacular performance and easily held off his biggest rival Grands Crus in the Liverpool event. After claiming this race, Big Buck’s added his 12th victory of his career. Now the colt has officially established himself as the
champion of the Liverpool Hurdle since he won this event for the third subsequent time.
Many sports analysts consider this performance of Big Buck’s one of his very best since he gave a very tough time to the champion race-horse Grands Crus. After clinching victory in this event for the third time, Big Buck’s has proved himself as the champion
colt over the fences. Meanwhile, it has been reported that the race-horse will not be very keen to make his name in the hurdle events.
The champion race-horse trains under the care of the champion trainer Paul Nicholls. He was of course very excited when his race-horse claimed the 12th meeting of his career. When the pleased trainer was approached by the correspondents after
Big Buck’s landed the Liverpool Hurdle, he was reported as saying, “I think that’s probably his best performance and it’s probably right that he’s the best horse I’ve ever trained at Ditcheat.”
The winning race-horse was ridden by the famed jockey Ruby Walsh, who was also very jubilant after the event ended in his interest. On the other hand, David Pipe who trains Grands Crus was also impressed by the performance of both the colts.
