Big Creek seeking a big breakthrough in the Skybet.Com Handicap at Windsor on 30th April
Windsor will stage the Class 4 Skybet.Com Handicap over a mile, two furlongs and seven yards on Monday, 30th April. The £4,852 purse will get contested by a line-up of eight runners who are four-year and older.
The only entry among the entire line-up to have raced and won at Windsor is Aldwick Bay, Danehill Dancer’s four-year-old bay gelding out of mare, Josie Doocey.
He won back in 2010 and then was placed third in the only Windsor race during the previous season. Aldwick Bay ended third in the More Wimbledon Betting At Totesport.Com Handicap behind the leading pair on 27th June 2011 at Windsor over a mile
and two furlongs.
Broughtons Swinger won the race while riding with Adam Beschizza as the two led the runner up, Edgewater, by a mere neck’s margin. Despite being the 5/2 favourite of the race, Aldwick Bay could only manage the third place.
Another note worthy entry for the race is Big Creek, Galileo’s five-year-old bay horse out of mare, Baranja. He has raced four times during the new season and has not driven down the third position since the last three outings. Each of the three races that
he took part in were at different race courses.
He secured the second position in the £32 Free At 32Red.Com Handicap on 15th January at Kempton over a mile and four furlongs. The race was won by Art Scholar and he led Big Creek by three lengths. Settling third behind the winner was Switched
Off.
The 5/2 favourite of the race, Refractor, ended fifth on the track of ten.
On 1st March he was sent as the 9/4 favourite of the Follow Southwell On Twitter Handicap over a mile and four furlongs. Taking away the title was Admirable Duque while finishing the closest to the winner was The Lock Master.
Being sent as the favourite for a straight second time, Big Creek once again ended third, this time in the Cyprium Bar At Lingfield Marriott Handicap on 4th April at Lingfield.
Camborne, the winner, led the runner up of the race, Megalala, by one and a half lengths.
His fifth outing of the season will be at a fourth different race course.
