Big Dog vs. Big Bear ???

I recently sat on a Big Bear "Sled" Pro Street and felt very cramped on it at 6'4". I'm looking at Big Dog online and was wondering if they are more suited for a taller rider than Big Bear ??....maybe the Big Dog "Pittbull".

  1. stick with your Harley son, no question about what kind of bike it is.....

  2. i personally do not like open primaries so big bear is out for me.im 5'6 and have sat on a big dog k9 and they fit me good, how ever i really like the saxon and they are set up for taller people.my cousin works there and he is like 6'1 and the bikes fit him good.you can go to www.saxonmotorcycles.com and look at what they have good luck and hope this helps.

  3. if your looking for the chopper style look @ the Rocker -C ,also Pittbulls are comfortable , lucky for me im near Daytona Beach and during bike week and biketoberfest there is all the builders .... so get to test drive and sit on all of them and was really suprised how the rocker handled

  4. The seating area of ALL hd clone frames, regardless of backbone or downtube stretch is basically the same... all related to engine and trans sitting in the belly... so all HD's and V twin chops are uncomfortable for tall guys. I am 6'4" tall and ride a Longbow... a softail frame stretched 4 inches TO THE REAR. They have production bikes and chops... your choice of engine including HD twin cam. Go to their web site...

  5. If the RevTech motor was Koren made then they would be good. I do not know about the Big Bear but I will never work on a Big Dog again.

  6. Stay away from Rev Tech...I have never worked on one that had any real miles on them that they did not break...Look into Custom Mountain..they use all Harley Parts and you don't have a problem replaceing things.

  7. Why would anybody want to buy an overpriced factory built fake chopper? If you don't have the skill and knowledge to build your own bike then find a good shop to build it to your specs and idea of what it should be. Whatever you do, stay far far awat from anything with a Rev Tech motor in it. They are a Korean made pos.

  8. Obviously all bikes have specific characterics.  And that includes comfort.  For someone you size usually there are fitting issues.  eah, it sucks but who told you to eat so much Wheaties!

They call it the aftermarket.  Find a bike that you really like.  You can have the bike fitted to your size, build and riding position.  And custom builder can do it for you.  Handlebars, seat cushion height, footpegs or rearsets, levers and foot pegs.  They are all adjustable.

And if you pay alot of money for the bike it should be fit to you.  See how easy that was?  Enjoy!
