to me its stupid if u hunt just to kill unless you have the reason, me i do hunt coyotes and i dont keep the pelts but i do it because i live on a farm and i need to do this because there are an extreme amount of them and the need to be decreased in there numbers so they dont harm our cattle. but when it comes to an elephant i wouldnt mind shooting one but i am just happy with deer.

African Big Game: I would love to shoot a Greater Kudu. That is a pretty, pretty animal. And a bunch of Wart Hogs. My cousin has two Wart Hog shoulder mounts and I can't stop staring at them, They are so hideous that I have found a fondness for them.

If you are going to eat it then yes but if not i dont think you should as fun as it is. I dont really agree with elephant hunting as much as i would like to do it because i dont see a point to killing that kind of animal.

I personally have never been a trophy hunter.  You won't find any racks, pelts, or mounts on my walls.  I have only hunted for meat.

Why are ya answering this question in the hunting section? You are just giving the anti's something to rant on, I think it is good, and the point I think you are trying to get across is the big ten? There are a wide aray of big game animals.......

There isn't much elephant hunting any more, but where there is, it's a valuable part of herd management, and the money (often six figures for an 80+ elephant) can have a huge impact on very poor areas of Africa.

And while we're on the Big Five, Cape buffalo are anything but endangered, so there's certainly no reason to fuss there. It's a bit arrogant to stake out a position that runs counter to the recommendations of the people in the local area who've made a life's work out of knowing exactly what's best for the local game.

im ok with it i hunt turkeys and deer and thats all but dont hunt elephants or other jungle animals
