Ok I texturized my hair a couple times, I have been growing it about 3 months now and every time I comb my hair Hair falls out, I have noticed a few thin, and Brown strands but more importantly everytime I put my hand in my hair or a comb in my hair, hair comes out, is this natural?

Should I be worried?

Cutting my hair isn't an option so what must I do? I it the chemicals in the texturizure?

  1. it is normal for your hair to shed everyday - but are you losing more now that you are using a texturizer? - is that why you are concerned? - the texturizer changes the texture of your hair with acids so you are more likely to see damage now - i don't know what sort of businesses is in your community so try a) going to beautician who has hair like yours and ask them for advice and product recommendations b) go to a beauty supply store and ask the salesperson for product recommendations OR c) there are communities online for people who use texturizers and who are learning to maintain healthy hair - then there are online communities for men with kinky/nappy/highly textured/tightly coiled/4A/4B/whateveruwannacallit hair and there you can commiserate with others and get advice - do a google search for the forum for men of color and the ones for people who use texturizers are http://www.longhaircareforum.com and http://www.healthytextures.com - i hope this helps

  2. On average, you lose between 75-100 hairs a day normally, and its not unheard of to lose a little more than that if you use chemicals. I'm not really sure what term you mean by "texturizing" though. What chemicals did you use, and for what reason? To answer your question, if you've used any chemicals on you hair, its normal to lose a little more than 100 hairs a day. I would highly recommend going to your salon and buying a really good deep conditioner, reconstructing shampoo, and reconstructing leave in conditioner.

  3. consult your hair doctor. Maybe he/she can help you. But maybe it is because of your shampoo, conditioner or the texture:)

  4. Do you moisturize your hair? How much hair comes out? It's normal to loose 100 strands a day.Is it breakage or shedding.(Understanding the difference between hair breakage and shedding is an important part of any healthy hair regimen. Many people use these terms interchangeably to refer to any hair that falls from the head; however, this misinformed language can be a recipe for hair disaster. You must be able to properly differentiate between these two very specific forms of hair "loss" in order to effectively address even the smallest of your hair needs. )For more info about this check:http://www.associatedcontent.com/article...
