  1. I think Cooney had a better punch, and Big John was a disappointment to me. I don't think he was tough enough.

    Cooney wins and it is not going to take 15 rounds.


  2. very often i hear people call cooney overrated but i think that gerry was actually a good boxer,he was big and he had a lotof power but he was not some slow slugger he actually knew how to box, big john tate was also an ok fighter but i have been more impressed with cooney who was a little more versatile than big john....so i think cooney would win this one by ko in the mid rounds.
