Big Local expected to continue his winning journey - Romford Stadium Standard
After winning two Grade T3 events, Big Local kept doing well and sealed a narrow win in an open race last week. With three consecutive victories under his belt, the black dog is all set to topple his rivals in the Romford Stadium
Standard, taking place at Romford on Friday, May 04, 2012.
The latest of his wins was quite fascinating. In a 400 metres heat, he beat Frisby Barney only by a short head’s distance. His connections are expecting him to do an equally good job this time around.
Let’s see how he utilises his skills in today’s crucial event. The 400 metres sprint is scheduled to get underway at 21:56 GMT.
P. Young’s trainee will unleash his talent against five speedy runners including Bonnan Bui, Rockchase Jack, Mountjoy Hawk, Droopys Chase and Chavalin.
Bonnan Bui is not in good form these days. But he is expected to bounce back and demonstrate a decent show this time around. In his last appearance, the brindle dog remained unlucky, missing the top position by one and a half
lengths.
If he manages to improve his work today, he will be in great position to bag the winning cheque worth £175.
Chavalin would find it difficult to produce something special today. The black dog was a bit unlucky last time around, as he missed the glory by one and a quarter lengths.
Droopys Chase is a strong candidate for the top prize. The black dog won three of the previous five races at Romford.
However, the punters will have to forget his last performance, if they are interested in staking their money on him. On April 23, he could not perform well and finished four on the table.
Rockchase Jack has been out of luck since making a winning debut at Romford at the end of March. Mountjoy Hawk’s confidence would have been dented terribly by an embarrassing result last time out. However, he is likely to play
a part today.
Big Local is expected to deliver a dominating performance. According to our calculations, Rockchase Jack would be a huge threat to him. We wish the best of luck to everyone.
