The £2,200 Joe Dolan/ICC Open 350 Semi-Final has brought together a line-up of six lightly raced hounds. The race will be held at Shelbourne Park over 350 yards on Wednesday, 20th June. Taking up the challenge are Bayswell View, Slippy Daly, Ouro
Velho, Big Mahie, Allowdale Lisa and Master Jackpot.
Big Mahie, Wallace Green’s two-year-old fawn son out of b***h, Lady Bellevue, has raced four times during the debut season. He started off with a 400 yards race on 12th May at Dundalk and settled as the runner up. The race was won by Dundrum Laura
who timed the track distance in 21.41 seconds and led by 5 ¼ lengths.
His second career race was on the same venue and over the same distance. However this time he ducked down to a fifth position. The race was won by Lissan Bo who timed the track distance in 21.59 seconds and led by four and a half lengths.
The last two starts saw him improving remarkably with a third position under belt and then finally claiming one. Big Mahie ended third in a 400 yards race on 26th May at Dundalk which was won by Beiber Junkie who made it to the other end of the
wire in 21.61 seconds.
Fourth race down the line and he was successful. He won a 400 yards race at Dundalk by reaching the other end of the wire in 22.05 seconds. He led the field by 3 ¼ lengths.
Allowdale Lisa, Bexhill Eoin’s two-year-old brindle daughter out of b***h, Atlantic Mindy, has raced thrice during the new season and out of those two were second scores and sandwiched between the two was a third position.
She shot off with a second position in a 350 yards race on 28th April. The race was won by Sellout Fast Fit who enjoyed just a minor neck’s lead and timed the distance in 19.22 seconds.
On 9th June she qualified as the runner up in a 359 yards race which she missed due to just half a length.
She will be racing today right out of a training session at the Shelbourne Park over 350 yards on 14th June.
