Big POP no sound no picture

Question

I have a Vizio p50 50 inch Plasma. I was watching TV and heard a big POP sound. The picutre and sound went out. The green light still comes on when I turn TV on/off. I unplugged it for 3 minutes and plugged it back in. Still nothing. I called Vizio and they said my warranty was over. I have only had this tv for a little over a year. They told me it could be the power supply board. I jsut dont wanna buy this to find out it is something else and waste even more money. What do you recommend? If it is power supply board is this easy to replace myself? Thanks for any information.
