So, for my birthday, I am having a Hawiian themed party. And I was going to have a dinner.

But there are some problems, one of the girls is allergic to peanuts and shellfish, and another girl is a vegetarian. Please help!

It is possible that I make two different dishes too! Please help me out! Thanks!

  1. go to the internet and search for food with your requests

  2. I would make meat dishes and veggie dishes. For the girl's health (the one who's allergic) I would leave nuts and shellfish out of everything. Make a buffet style dinner so people can help themselves.

If you want to cook individual dishes, ask everyone to suggest a few things that they would like to eat. Then make the most popular. Again, cook separate dishes for the veggie and allergic girls :-)

    Have a nice birthday!!

ADD: - I may have read the answer wrong but "mahi mahi (fish) for the vegetarian" - how is fish veggie?! :-S

  3. Some Vegitarians will eat fish, so ask your friend if she will.  Try Ma-hi Mahi.  It is a tasty fish, but not a shell fish.  Make simple sauces like lemon butter.  If someone is allergic to peanuts, may be a good idea to keep them in the cupboard rather than including them in limited dishes and just telling her, because SOME PEOPLE are so allergic that even the dust from a peanut can send them into anaphylaxis.  Also if you do cook anything on the following list, make sure to cook it separate and keep it far away from anything the allergic person will eat (with a cover over it)

It seems like a lot of extra work, but when everyone is happy, it will be worth it :)

    Just remember, some shellfish include

    crab

    clams (soft and hard)

    scallops

    mussel

    lobster

    shrimp

    squid

crawfish or crayfish (depending where you live)

    oysters

Hope your party is awesome :)

  4. I would make a vegetarian and then a meat dish.  For safety reasons you probably want to leave out the shellfish and peanuts in any of your food...just in case somehow the peanuts contaminate whatever dish is the "non peanut dish."

  5. If it's hawaiian, make some different salads.  You can make seafood dishes separately. If she's allergic to peanuts don't use them at all.

You could make hawaiian pizzas, one with meat and one without, with pineapple.  Most mozzarella you buy in supermarkets is vegetarian

  6. You have to do  Hawiian Pizza for the non veggies (ham and pineapple)

  7. one out peasnat

    othe with salalsd

  8. Kabobs!! They will satisfy everyone

    Make Veggie Kabobs, Meat Kabobs.

For the veggie kabobs I put these veggies which have been marinated for 30 minutes in Balsamic Vinaigrette Dressing:

    Yellow squash

    Green and Red bell pepper

    Whole mushrooms

    Onion pieces

Cherry tomatoes (on their own skewer for 5-7 minutes. I do these last.)

On some other skewers I put red potatoes that have been poked with a fork and marinated in Balsamic Vinaigrette Dressing for 30 minutes. I microwave  the potatoes for like 7-10 minutes depending on size to sofen them up and then i grill them on the grill but on the outsides of the grill not right over the heat. Keep the grill covered so they can steam. Very worth it!!

For the meat I use boneless  chicken chunks and cut up pork chunks. I marinade the Pork in Lawry's Hawaiian marinade for 30 minutes and the chicken marinates in Lawry's Tequila Lime for 30 minutes. Skewer and cook over hot grill. **I guess you have to check for peanuts in the marinades.

Oh and for added affect I cut up some fresh pineapple and grill in between the pork chunks. Comes out yummy!

And we also cook up some corn on the cob but on the grill comes out excellent

    Hope your party is great!!

  9. being a vegetarian myself, we usually fend for ourselves. the only thing you have to do is make sure you have dishes and sides that don't have meat...it's not difficult.

there aren't many hawaiian themed things that include peanuts, and just don't make any shellfish.

don't ask your veg. friend if she eats fish; she may not, but myself and others find it offensive. being a vegetarian means you don't eat animals; not just "meat"- as in, NO animals. to think otherwise is insulting.

  10. Stick to bananas, (Bananas Foster), pinapples, (Pina coladas), mahi mahi (fish) for the vegetarian, poi, mango salsa, and BBQ pork ribs.

  11. could make Hawaiian toast very easy just leave the ham out for vegetarians and muslims.taste just as nice only the ham.a good wholesome soup cheap and easy. look in an hawaiian cook book there are loads of recipe that have none of the above ingredients in.whatever you do make it simple so you have more time to relax and enjoy yourself after all it`s your birthday.buffets are good, finger foods etc.can all be prepared in advance so you can then just enjoy the party.have FUN.
