On my fantasy football team some of WR's include Wes Welker, Santonio Holmes, Patrick Crayton, Hines Ward. I'd like to trade for a big time WR like Randy Moss but Besides Randy modd who would you consider 5 guys that are big time WR that I should try and trade for

  1. TO and Wayne are the only other top WR's.  However, you will pay a premium price for any of those 3 receivers.

Ward, Welker, and Holmes is a decent rotation for WR's.  If you really want to trade up then stay away from the top receivers, they will cost you more than they are worth.  Aim for guys like Andre Johnson, Steve Smith, Housh, Plaxico, and Chad Johnson (although his name might cost more than his play is worth).  Toss in Holmes and another player and you could get a decent upgrade w/o giving up your best guys.  Try to keep Welker if possible.

If you want a top guy target a team without depth at the WR position and offer Welker and Holmes or Ward.  That might get you a top WR.  You have to decide if it is worth giving up to of your best receivers to get 1 in return.

  2. I just responded to your posting about rating your team so I know who you have on your roster.

Chances are you aren't going to be able to get Moss, Wayne, S.Smith, TO, B.Edwards, or TJ Housh without giving up LT, Grant, or Big Ben.  All of those WRs usually go in the first 3 or so rounds.  If you trade Grant, you get a quality WR but probably start Selvin Young at RB.  If he is good, then great!!  It worked.  However, people don't usually bet too much on Denver RBs now that T.Davis is gone.

See if you can get Anthony Gonzales.  He isn't a #1 WR but is in an explosive offense and might be somewhat cheap to get.

Your team is also loaded with Steelers.  Great if Big Ben throws a TD pass to Holmes and Ward.  However, if the Steelers get shut out...then you are going to have a hard time getting a win.

  3. Braylon Edwards, Larry Fitzgerald, Reggie Wayne, TO, Chad Johnson.  I like TJ "who's your mama" but he tends to take a lot of big hits across the middle.  Another young guy with great potential is Calvin Johnson out in Detroit.  If your league rewards WR for catches a guy like Wes in great.  I think Hines is on the decline and Holmes is ready to be the play maker in Pitt.
