Big Wave expected to dominate proceedings in Hardings Catering Services Handicap
Big Wave has been rated as hot favourite to win the Hardings Catering Services Handicap at Brighton in England on Tuesday, July 3, 2012. The class-5 winner will bag the prize money of £2,264 in the end.
There are a total of nine runners scheduled to take part in the 5 furlong 59 yard race, which will start at 17:45 GMT. However, the final number of entries will be confirmed after looking at the ground conditions, which have changed to some extent, and it is now labelled good to soft.
No matter what the conditions, Big Wave will still be a top contender for victory, as she has a very good record and is carrying an excellent momentum right now.
She will definitely get the attention of the punters, and the bookmakers also believe that she will walk away with a comfortable win, thus they have given her a starting price of 3 to 1.
The four-year-old filly does not have a lot of experience, but that will not matter much, as her confidence is high on the back of some fighting runs recently.
She has only taken part in five events, winning a couple of them. However, she has the ability to fight with consistency that is why she will be the one to watch out for in the Hardings Catering Services Handicap.
The Alison Hutchinson’s trainee debuted in February this year, and was impressive in her very first outing, as she finished fourth overall.
There was a lot of pressure on her, as she was up against some decent runners. Although, she was unable to pull off any surprises, yet her result was not bad at all.
Just in her third outing, Choisir’s daughter brought up her first ever victory by one length and three quarters.
She was priced at 11 to 4 back then, and was expected to fight at the front. This was exactly what she did and stormed to the top of the table.
In her most recent run, Big Wave was given the best odds for victory, and she did not disappoint the spectators. Her partner for today’s race will be veteran jockey, Neil Callan, who has earned a lot of victories at a very decent strike rate.
