  1. Bigger vehicles have bigger gas tanks for a good reason.

  2. >>  is there any "big" car that doesnt take so much gas???

2 factors contribute to bad gas mileage.

    (1) heavy weight

    (2) wide cross section (bad aerodynamics).

In general bigger cars will do worse.  My 94 Civic is only 2300 pounds and gets 41 mpg.  You just cannot get that in a heavier car.

    good Luck....

  3. All other things being equal, the main determining factor for gasoline mileage is the weight of the vehicle and passengers.

  4. Most large cars, vans and SUVs do have poor gas mileage. They're large and heavy and require more fuel to get them moving. If you want something more fuel efficient, you'll just have to get something smaller than an SUV or a Van.

  5. 6 or 8 cylinders are gonna EAT fuel.    Your vehicle will spend more time in the driveway over being driven.    Big car=big weight=big motor=big appetite=poor you.

Even the lowly older VW van is not cheap on fuel @20mpg and that is a 4 cylinder.

And that is why the big ones are gonna be such a good deal for the next while as people try to get rid of them.

  6. try a chevy s-10

  7. Of course, they're gas guzzlers and usually less fuel-efficient than smaller vehicles.

  8. Big cars take more gas because it takes more thrust(that comes from gas) to push them at the same speed as smaller cars.
