Big haired women in texas?

I have been told about two places in the us - texas and NJ where the women have "big hair". this was said in apositive and s**y way. is it true? Why is big hair and s**y thing and why is it unique to those places?

The person that told you that we have "big hair" probably also told you we all ride horses to school and wear cowboy boots.

I don't own a horse, and I though my hair is thick, it's straight and most definitely not "big." As for the horses and boots, I own neither.

You can't believe everything you hear :) Last time I checked, big hair went out of style with Grease Lightening.
