What big moves do you think Toronto will make this summer??

I think the'll trade Sundin before July 1st to move up the draft some, and Matts will sign with the team he's delt to

Kubina Tucker and McCabe will all be delt and I think they may release Raycroft

  1. Why would a team trade for Sundin when they can get him July 1st for the price of the contract if he is willing to sign there anyways? Sundin's value is now close to ZERO.....besides, he still has that no-trade clause, that one that he exercised back when he had some worth. LOL

I tend to think Kubina will be gone (he has a window in his no-trade), Tucker is probably gone as well.....as for McCabe, he too still has that no-trade clause so it depends on whether or not he changed his mind.....I could see him with the NYI.

  2. No Sundin has made it clear that he will not waive his no trade clause.  The leafs problem is the only players they have are too expensive and have no-trade clauses they refuse to waive.  Getting a deal done will be very hard, they'll do what they can but if they have any hope what so ever they need to start from scratch completely.

  3. The only way a team would agree to such a trade would be to give up an 8th round pick; which is a pretty stupid trade on the Leafs. I'd be very surprised if Kubina isn't traded. Please stop embarrassing the rest of us Leafs fans.

  4. It's back to the drawing board for you, son. Sundin is a free agent, they can't trade him. McCabe and Tucker have no-trade clauses in their contracts, as does Kubina. Kubina's contract does contain a short window where he can be dealt, however at the end of the season he was the Leaf's best scoring d-man. Dumping Razor is probable.

  5. They cant. McCabe has a no trade claus, and is not willing to wave them. Kubina could go, and raycroft will probly be bought out. Sindin is a free agent...if he is resighned they could trade him, but i doubt that will happen.
