  1. not unless you really dont like getting hit there?..after a very few smacks you wont even think about it..I remember the very first time I stepped into a ring with an experienced fighter who was around 15 pounds heavier and punched well above his weight and thinking I hope I dont get my nose flattened!..well the point was the coach's new I had talent and wanted to see If I could take a shot ..I got hit with big hooks big crosses and one almighty uppercut flush on the nose as I over reached with a right and I still swear to this day I felt my feet touch the ground on the way down..the following session I was back in the ring with the same guy and found myself chasing him down for all I was worth and realized the harder you get hit the less you feel..in short I know guys with big noses tend not to like being hit there but like me learn it is no big deal at all..good luck and remember protecting your chin is far more important

  2. As long as you don't lead with your nose you will be okay.

Granted some boxers break their noses, but not all of them.

If you learn defense and how to block and slip punches you should not get hit directly on the end of your nose so it won't get flattened.

  3. well mines big, not like a parrots beak shape......the only disadvantage that i hav frum having a big nose is bleding a lot but thats nothing.

  4. Man so do I but I'm gonna compete anyway when I have a chance in highschool. Just compete and if you break the nose you might have to lose the cartalige. So go ahead compete
