Big rear????

tire and small front tire? how does the bike handle? doe you really need a big tire, or is it mainly for looks? i see choppers with back fatties and touring bikes with standards on them, so what gives?

  1. A real big tire requires special handling. I have watched them go around corners at slow speeds. I have never ridden a chopper with a huge tire in the back but I have ridden a laydown and sit up bike with a car tire in the back and it is different. Those bikes you see usually go from bar to bar. I have hardley ever seen anyone on the interstate with one.


  2. It isn't my cup of tea. The fad has gone on for about 4 years and I hope its is about used up. The bike can't corner for beans with a fat rear tire.....but, to each his (or her ) own.

  3. The best handling will come with med size tires on both front and rear

  4. Yes they are for looks, no one buys a chopper or pro street to commute on.
