  1. Your scorpion is clearly suffering from harassment deficiency. The only way to save him is to keep sticking your hands in the tank and pestering him and picking him up by a delicate, fragile limb that will mean his death if you break it.

Quick, my son! If you love your pet you'll get right on this.

  2. That's what they do, just lay there. They're not an animal that's going to run all around the cage and entertain you. They are nocturnal and aren't active during the day. And blowing on them is only going to stress them out, just like it can with tarantulas. If it's eating, everything's okay. If it's not, check the temperatures and make sure it has access to water.

  3. is it warm enough?

  4. Things to make sure of: Not getting an excessive amount of light, warm enough (85-90), not stressed, humid enough, fresh water, and well fed.

Emperor Scorpions get stressed extremely easy, so just make sure to avoid that at all costs. Being stressed can cause them to act this way. Another thing that really stresses them out is picking them up by their stinger. Yes, many people do it and it seems perfectly fine. However, it stresses them out and can cause internal injury. Really, as long as cage conditions are kept well and stress is low, a scorpion should live for a long time. Good Luck!
