They charged me $3.95 for one pound. Did they violate the deceptive trade practices act anywhere, and more specifically in Texas?

  1. Most likely.  Go back to the store and b¡tch to them.

BTW why is this is Diet and not in Law?

  2. No because there is tax for one. another thing is are you sure you bought the advertised bacon? There are other types of bacon and such as lean, thick, maple, smoked and so on plus you did not buy it at the advertised price because you did not buy three pounds.. That could be another reason you were charged a different price Oh and if the bacon was $2.95 a pound for three pounds you would have been charged $8.85

  3. possibly, you may have to actually purchase the whole 3 lbs for the discounted rate♥

  4. by  law  what  they  advertise  you  should  pay  that  price   that is  false  advertisement  and  they  should  reimburse  you   the  difference   but  when  they  rung  it  up  it  should  have  been  addressed  then.  but   yes  you   should   go  back  and  get  your  money  worth  and  its  their  fault  and  their  loss   but  don't  make  it  yours  just  take  receipt  and  bacon  back  you  can  get  the  difference  back

  5. You did not purchase 3 pounds worth. Therefore, you did not meet the criteria for the discount.

  6. it may be that you need to buy 3 lbs to get that price.  Next time ask, and either add 2 more lbs or tell them no thank you.

  7. Yes, you needed to bring that to their attention before leaving the store.  It's false advertising and probably simply a scanning error.  The scanning department (the people who put the prices in the computer) probably didn't put that one in right and other people will be charged that until they are aware of the problem and fix it.  You can try to take it back to get it corrected.  It won't do much good to do anything further, it's just a technical problem, not like they were trying to cheat you.  At least in most cases.  But if it said you had to buy three pounds to get the discount then they did not do anything wrong.  A lot of stores do that, but mine doesn't.  It discounts each pound regardless, that's why I shop there.  If something is 2 for whatever, it splits it in half even if I only buy one.
