  1. my daughter was 2 1/2 when i first found out about the bun in the oven LOL. just one day when she was playing with her dolls and being their mom, i asked her if she wanted a real baby, i was about 4 months along, and i told her that we would have a baby soon, that right now it was growing in my belly. and when the baby was big enough it could come out. she was thrilled once when the baby arrived and is such a big help, like with throwing away diapers and such! Congrats! and good luck!

  2. dont tell her anything until your past the dangerous stage of m/c. i told my two year old mummy was having a baby but then i m/c and for months she would still come running up to my belly and say hello, very heart breaking.

  3. My daughter was 13 months when I got pregnant, and I told her when I started to show.  Kids at that age really don't need too many details.  I just told her that our baby was in mommy's tummy growing, and he would come out when he was all done.  She would kiss and hug my tummy.  When he was born, she was 22 months.  She would hold him, bring him toys and bring me diapers and wipes and throw the diapers away.  She didn't start hating him until he learned to crawl...but that's another story.  Good luck!

  4. I would wait until you are in the clear and the baby looks healthy. I told my daghter (2) when I was pregnant when we told the whole family (around 8 weeks).

Well, we ended up going through a miscarriage at 12 weeks. So now she is kind of confused like where's the baby?? So now she might not understand as well next time we get pregnant that there really IS a baby coming.
