my question is if the big stores can now slash 10p of a liter of petrol, and still make money why did'nt they cut the prices before . and if a furniture shop can slash £500 of a leather settee, shouild'nt the shop keeper be castrated for over chargeing by such a large amount in the first place ? why do we have to be ripped of all of the time....J

  1. what a great point i wonder this quite often!!! it just shows what money grabbing B*****ds they really are, and the sad fact is that more often then not we pay their rediculas full prices,

  2. RIP OFF Britain,Supply and demand.Sell for what you can get not what it is worth.

  3. My question is; how long have you been paying for it and just muttering under your breath instead of doing something proactive about it. Have you bought a bike or switched to a more energy efficient car? No? Stop complaining then. Its your own fault.

Big stores have massive purchasing power and can basically do what they like and the supplier coughs up. And they didn't do it before because YOU kept buying their fuel. Furniture stores have overheads to meet and need to pull in a hefty profit margin to see them through the year. Then when they need the space they chop it all out at a bit closer to cost price (still inflated by the way).

    Please see the bigger picture.

Incidentally, how much do you earn per year and do you REALLY need every penny? Or do you get to waste some of it on luxuries every now and again. Thats where the profit goes. Thats Rip Off Britain. Thats you.
