I don't think any of these are all that hard to swallow. A North American Great Ape or a prehistoric creature, just because they have eluded modern science so far does not exactly mean they don't exist. Everyday new species are found, discovers of new plants and bacteria. In the heavens new planets, our oceans are full of creatures we don't yet have a name for yet. My question is why is it so hard to classify these creatures in a way in which the people that have seen them and believe in them don't seem so nutty? Where does the attitude that since we haven't yet cataloged it then it can't exist come from. I do understand science needs proof, but science also needs faith and imagination to motivate it enough to seek the truth. Believe this, we have yet to discover more than we have found and that is a hard fact to prove.
