  1. Well, you can't really "pass" a Bigfoot DNA test. Since there has never been any DNA identified as a "Bigfoot", any DNA sample tested can only be compared to known species. At the very best, scientists could have ruled that the DNA does not match any known primate. But these particular samples were ruled as human and opossum.

It's a hoax. No mystery here.

    Additional info:

    - Tom Biscardi, the guy who organized the press conference and has been going on TV, is a known Bigfoot hoaxer.

    - The story of how the two men found the Bigfoot has changed three times, beginning with someone shooting it and ending with the claim that they just happened to stumble upon it.

    - The entrails in the photo appear to have not decayed or been scavenged by any other animals.

    - The face from the picture has been identified by the company that manufactures that particular Bigfoot costume.

    - There was lots of hype about the "evidence" that was to be presented. There was nothing presented. There were, however, camera pointed at a man (Biscardi) who was basking in the media attention.

    - The body is (still) magically not available for public and scientific scrutiny. Why not let people in the media see it, touch it, smell it? The guys are obviously not being careful with the body because they supposedly froze it in a block of ice and then thawed it out to take a picture of it (http://www.searchingforbigfoot.com/Possi... ). The reason is that if anyone was allowed to see the body in person, they would quickly figure out that it's a fake.

    - There was a promise made by Biscardi to go back to the general area where the carcass was found and capture a live Bigfoot. You know, because it's just that simple... right?

All the men involved are hoping to get believers riled up enough to purchase merchandise and donate money on their Bigfooot website. Both of the original two that "found" the body are currently out of work and undoubtedly could use the extra cash. They're probably planning to shoot some sort of Bigfoot hunting video (which will in turn be sold, of course) and possibly stage a Bigfoot autopsy, a la the Fox alien autopsy (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alien_autop... ).

These guys are pathetic media wh*res. They contribute nothing positive to the world by inventing and perpetuating this lie.

  2. ok, seriously...why do people come up with this stuff? Obviously, for the media attention and dough...how come we haven't ACTUALLY seen this thing before? Why do we believe people who have eerie photos or imprinted footprints?

  3. Fake, the linked story shows their DNA proof was possum.

  4. You can find links to Bigfoot news stories, the local California and Georgia news outlets covering the story, the group's website and other related websites on http://www.USAMediaGuide.com
