Question:

Bigger budget/charity?

I have two brothers and both of my brothers got to redecorate their rooms twice. I've been stuck with the same room for almost five years. I really don't want to seem greedy and unappreciative, because I appreciate a lot more than my parents think I do. My mom gave me a low budget to work with, because it's true that, worn as they are, my current furniture serves it's purpose. But I've been thinking, if she gave me a bigger budget to work with and I could get new furniture, I could give pretty much my entire room to charity and hospitals and to people who have a whole lot less than I do. If I tell her this do you think she'd give me more money to work with?

But don't get me wrong, I really want to help those less fortunate, I'm not just doing it so I can re do my room. I've actually been wanting to do this since before I started planning to re decorate, I just haven't told her yet.

Please and thank you.

  1. That is a great idea! I'm sure your parents would be very proud of you! Talk to your mother and explain this to her, if she can afford to I'm sure she wouldn't have a problem, also tell her that the salvation army will give her a tax break voucher so she can get money back at the end of the year for donating these furniture pieces! Also you don't need soo much money to re-do a room, you can really do it for under $100. If you need more help just email me! Best of luck! Hope you get the room of your dream!
