  1. any team that goes to the finals will always have a bunch of fans that don't know S***e about the game. I mean, just look at yahoo's hockey section. :)

  2. PITTSBURGH!

They are all hopping on the Sid the Kid Bandwagon.

Look at their past 10 years of attendence and fan support! They almost moved to another city! Then Crosby comes in and then "Here Comes the Bandwagoneers!"

    It's funny actually.

  3. Currently, Penguins because bandwagons are defined by the team's success. But if you're talking about the last two seasons, definitely Sabres. That wagon was 20 times more arrogant and ignorant too.

^^^^^ I stand corrected. That wagon is about twice as arrogant and ignorant than the current Penguins wagon...

  4. Pittsburgh Penguins...I feel bad saying it because I know there are some die hard fans out there but majority of the fan base probably didn't even watch hockey until Crosby came along.

  5. New York Rangers:

Nobody in my office knows anything about them or who played for them until the play-offs started and wanted to talk trash, after a long season and didn't know anything about the regular season stats.

That to me speaks of the majority of society and the bandwagonner mentality.

Once you drop some knowledge a wagoner walks away fast. Works everytime.

  6. Penguins. Most of their fans don't know the difference between a blue line and a clothes line. I should know, I live in Pittsburgh but have been a Wings fan since Stevie Y was a pup.

  7. Which city has the stupidest question askers? This, Einstein, is where you insert the name of your hometown-----From the looks of all the answerers tonight, I'd say Detroit does.Where are you clowns during football season?Oh yeah--watching the Steelers...

  8. TO Can I have a hambuger -

Your welcome for both Shanahan and Avery !!

Both help make for an enjoyable game in thier own way.

  9. I'd say Pittsburgh Penguins, for the time being, if any of the two teams must be mentioned.

In this season, on average, the Penguins experienced an 8% increase in attendance over last season. On the other hand, Buffalo Sabres experienced a 5% increased of attendance on average over last season.

Taking another view, the Penguins did not experience much fan success before Crosby's era. In the 2003-04 season, they even had the lowest average attendance of just 11,877 fans per game. This season, the Penguins made a Stanley Cup run and attracted 18,039 fans per game, after Crosby becomes established in the league. I see many NHL fans declaring their love for the Penguins --- only after Crosby's draft. Bandwagon fans indeed. Why don't they support the Penguins earlier when they almost went bankrupt in 1998? They only recovered in this season to roar into the Stanley Cup Finals.

On the other hand, the Sabres received consistent local support since 2005, when they brole into the Conference Finals. Yes, compare this to the Red Wings, this is not too far ago, but they had more consistent success than the Penguins at least.

I'd say that the Penguins are this season's biggest bandwagon, as they gained fans only by achieving recent 'success'.

  10. the penguins!

i mean they are some true die hard fans that have been since forever...but with sid there all the puck bunnies gather around and all the guys who just started liking the team....i am not saying EVERYONE who likes sid is a badwagoner cuz he is a great player but.....uhh.. well i think the sabres have more die hard fans...REAL ones

  11. Penguins - In the last month the population of them has probably tripled in size.
