Biggest Xbox 360 titles of 2012
Microsoft’s video game console Xbox 360 has been acting as one of the biggest hurdle in Sony Playstation 3’s domination of the market. While the experience offered by both the consoles is hardly noticeable by a casual gamer, a more hardcore gaming fanatic will be able to fully understand why there is a never-ending argument about which of the two consoles is better.
One of Xbox 360’s biggest strength and edge over its Sony counter-part is its exclusive titles that the fans have grown to love. Millions of kids and men alike find it next to impossible to imagine what their life would be like had they not come across titles such as Halo, Mass Effect and Gears of War.
Microsoft is keen on living up to its loyal fan’s expectations and attracting the attention of those who still lack faith in the entertainment value offered by its console by promising and releasing more titles of its popular franchises.
Let us take a look at some of the titles that Xbox 360 has in store for its owners in 2012.
Tomb Raider
Lara Croft has been every teenage (and adult) gamer’s fantasy at some part of their life. While the earlier titles in the franchise did not fail to deliver a satisfying experience, the sequels gradually began to lose the x factor, making the game rather bland and failing to offer anything new.
The developers of the game Crystal Dynamics are determined to revive the series by making some really significant changes. Croft is returning in yet another action-adventure setup, but this time she will not be the bad-a*s woman that we have all known for over a decade. A younger version of her will be seen on a mysterious tropical island, where the players will be able to witness her transformation for an average young girl to a female version of Indiana Jones. The developers have gone for a grittier visual style with the intention of making the game mature.
The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings
Developer CD Project RED created quite a stir with their release of The Witcher 2 on PC and has decided to bring the project to Microsoft’s console. The gamers will now be able to enjoy the goodness of the RPG on their Xbox 360. Taking control of Geralt, a professional monster-hunter, the players will wage war against a mature, corrupt, gritty and brutal world. The branching storyline is one of the standout features of the game, creating significant changes in certain parts of the game depending on the choices made by the player.
Resident Evil 6
No matter how many zombies you have killed, it seems that you just have not killed enough. That is why Resident Evil is returning with two of its most popular characters Leon Kennedy and Chris Redfield.
The game has taken a different approach this time. Instead of putting all the zombies in a single locality and sending in a force to cleanse the region of them, the zombies are spread across the globe. Even the president of America or the Far East is not safe from the virus outbreak. Kennedy and Redfield will be spending a lot of their time packing and unpacking their bags as they travel to different regions to bring the living dead to their absolute death.
