Which player in the Hall of Fame do you think has the most [hurtful] negative factor against them. Ex. Reggie Jackson, although in the HoF is the 1)leader in strikeouts in baseball. Hope this makes sense.

  1. I agree with Ty Cobb, too.

  2. Ty Cobb's racism. I don't think anything else comes close.

  3. Joe Tinker, SS, Chicago Cubs: Career batting average of .262, finishing in the Top 10 in batting just once in his career. Also a fielding percentage of just .938 (very low for a SS of any era).

  4. Bob Uecker. He was an awful hitter. Obviously that's not why he made the Baseball Hall of Fame.

  5. Characterwise it's Ty Cobb and Cap Anson.

    Stat wise:

    Reggie Jackson - most strikeouts

    Cy Young - most losses

    Nolan Ryan - most walks

  6. From everything that I've heard about players in the past, I would also agree that Ty Cobb is the worst human being that's in the Hall.  He was a huge racist--even bigger than Spike Lee is now.  Cobb was also a very dirty player and had no problem with spiking an opposing player whether he needed to or not.  Obviously life in America has changed since Cobb's day, but it would be interesting to see how he would be in today's time.

  7. All the bigots and racist in the Hall of Shame it should be closed down.. The Hall is totally for the whites and always will be.....
