This is purely out of curiosity and a little boredom but what, in your own opinion, do you think is the truest stereotype of each race?

  1. That there are separate races. Race is arbitrary and has no scientific basis or value in humans in my view. We are of one race - human.

    edit:

Sorry you feel that way about me giving a "righteous" answer, maz_cule. Too bad I have no desire to try to prove anything to you. Peace.

  2. Asians can't drive!!!

this is not only a stereotype - it's true! next time someone cuts you off or is doing something stupid in their car - look and see if he/she is asian. Almost 85% promise they will be.

  5. well, i do know some stereotypes are true, but im not even gonna get into them. and just to let you know when people here how they are stereotypes they believe thats how they really are, and start doing it

  6. All Moari's tend to drive on the right side of the road.

  7. "That they are separate races. Race is arbitrary and has no scientific basis or value in humans in my view. We are of one race - human."

uggh give me a break. I didnt know yahoo answers was giving points for the most righteous answer to a question. Its obvious there are many differences between races.

For example, black people are very good at music creativity and dancing.

white people on the other hand do not have much rhythm and so when they come to dancing they often look like they are either completely unaware of how stupid they look, or look like they are following steps from a video.

I think for black and white those are two very big stereotypes which ring true for the vast majority of their respective populations.

Islanders are the best sprinters. Are u going to disagree with that stereotype?

"Isn't the definition of a stereotype that it isn't true?..."

No, stereotypes aren't something which are misconceptions. That in itself is a common misconception. Stereotypes are generalised views of a group of people. Of course its very likely that for some members of that group the stereotype wont apply, but the more people that 'stereotype' applies to, the truer the stereotype is.
