Bijou Dan looking for a strong run in Free Racing Post Form At totepool.com Handicap
Bijou Dan will be looking to use all his experience in order to succeed in the Free Racing Post Form At totepool.com Handicap at Catterick in England on Wednesday, August 29, 2012. He has appeared at this venue on many occasions, thus will be fully aware
of the conditions, which will give him a competitive edge over others in the class-5 event.
All eyes will be on Solar View, who has been given the best odd for victory today. He is young and has got very good stamina, which will help him do well in the 1 mile, 7 furlong and 177 yard race.
However, things will not be easy for Sir Mark Prescott Bt’s trainee, as the going at Catterick will be soft today. This will definitely put his abilities under a stern test, as he is not used to running under such conditions.
To cope up with such difficult conditions, it is necessary to have experience. This is why Bijou Dan will be a threat for his opponents at the end of the day, as he has been in the sport for quite some time. Moreover, his recent performances have been good,
which will encourage the punters to place a lot of bets on him. He has been given a general starting price of 6 to 1.
The veteran gelding made his debut in 2004 and took part in quite a few events back then. He had a few ups and downs, but still managed to end the season on a positive note, winning his last race that year.
Things did not go well for the George Moore’s trainee during 2005 and he disappointed his fans on most of the occasions. He ended up with just one victory that year as well, which was not a positive sign at all.
However, the 11-year-old gelding enjoyed a much better time in 2006 and succeeded in four events back then. He managed to win a few more events in the next couple of seasons before winning four times once again in 2009.
Despite that, victories have not come to Bijou Dan’s way since then and he will be looking to break the shackles at Catterick. He has enjoyed a decent time in 2012 and is full of confidence right now. Seasoned jockey, P. J. McDonald will be partnering him
for the fifth consecutive race this year.
