I'm 5'4 130 pounds and need to know what frame size to get. I'm probably getting a trek 3700. What frame size, i don't want the shocks to move when I sit on it, and It will last me for a while. I'm going to be about 6 feet in a couple years, I'm 11 now, and do some serious cycling. Thanks.

  1. You need to go to the bike shop to be fitted and they will show you how to adjust the shocks.

  2. Well more then likely you are not going to be able to ride the same bike at 16 as you will at 11.  A 7-8 inch difference is more the likely going to put you on a different size bike. So you are going to need a bike that fits you as is right now.  It would be in your best interest to go to the local bike store and get fitted if you are going to be doing some serious riding.  Truts me i know about the whole size thing. While doing some training i was riding a bike that was too big and hard to control. I wrecked bad and broke my elbow.

  3.     The bike shop idea sounds like the very best advise. Short of that though, my guess is that a bike in the 13 to 16 inch range might work. BUT, it depends on who made the bike. That's why you may need to visit some shops.
