Bike Trails in Los Angeles?

looking for a good bike trail in the los angeles area that is safe for a family with kids. Anywhere in Los Angeles County or even SB.

Lot of possibilities.  The beach trail starts in Torrance Beach and ends north of the Santa Monica Pier.  It does get crowded in the summer and is flat and fun.  Long Beach bike path winds around the harbor then south along the beach for several miles.  Flat and never real crowded.  Lot of restaurants close by.  Check the Los Angeles County Bicycle Coalition web site for more info.

Rails to trails is one of the best.  You have to join to view the maps but it's free and it helps to get funding for more trails.

Also try L.A. bike path.

Go to Bikely.com and do a search. Trust me. If it's a bike trail, it's on there. You can even create routes on there and they have them on GPS as well. Have fun!!
