  1. Are you buying something fancy so that all of those measurements above make sense?

If what you're looking at says 24" or 26" (bikes from Target, WalMart, etc.), you're probably going to want a 24".  I'm 5'5" and I'm just at the point where some 26" bikes are comfortable.

  2. If the frame comes in S M and L get the S. 16 inch frame or abouts. Call customer sevice or chck out the website of the manufacturer for specs. Have fun and buy a good helmet and gloves.

  3. I'd go with a small, 14" maybe to 16" though 16 would probably be a bit of a stretch, so i think 14" would be the best for you, especially if you have a small build

  4. Go to a bike shop and pretend that you want to buy a bike.

    They will size you up.

I do not recommend buying a bike without ever riding it.

There is no community in online purchasing.

    Buyer beware.

Almost all purchases online for a bike need a 30-80 dollar build /tune up.

    Are you really saving money?

    What if it breaks?

What do you do then?Mail it back at your cost?

Buy parts or frames online, not total bikes.

I'm sorry that I'm so negative.

I have seen this too many times and been the one to deal with it as you spend your money for me to help you.

    One persons opinion only

    I wish you good luck

  5. Tricky buying on-line if you don't know your size. I'm 5-8 and ride a 16.5 frame. I'd ballpark you at 14". You should hit a bike shop and try some out to see for yourself though.
