Bike max weight capacity?

Are there any bicycles that have a max weight capacity of 350 or more that I can buy somewhere? I'm a body builder and weight 320 but I don't want to buy a bicycle that will break or bend. I've been wanting to buy one for a while but the types of bikes they sell at Academy don't seem like they'll last with heavy weight on them.

  1. Go to your local cycle shop and ask about them there.

Check the yellow pages ( yellowpages.com ) to find one.

  2. Look for a bike with a chromium-molybdenum steel frame.  Those should be plenty sturdy enough.

  3. your picture doesnt look like a body builder

  4. The Kona Hoss was designed specifically for body builders (Clydesdales). I believe they are rated to 400 lb. They will be hard to beat.

I hate to recommend just one brand. There should be other brands competing with Kona by now, but for quite a long while they had this market pretty much to themselves. Ask around  at your local shops for their version of the hoss and see what they can come up with.

If you want a really strong bike try these guys. (rated to 550 lb)
