Ok, so heres the thing. I try and switch up my workouts every now and then and one of the things that I do like 2 to 3 times a week is bikeride. I live in a development that has around 1 mile of pretty much uphill. While Im on it most of the time I am off the seat(standing up while riding) and I was wondering if doing this could make your butt bigger. I DONT WANT this. I swear the top part of my butt(right below my lower back )is getting bigger and less toned. It is really gross. Could this be doing it? I also run/speed walk, swim, or use the elliptical on the other days. Please help if I am doing something wrong. Thanks so much and if all you have is a dumb *** comment please I dont want to hear it. Thanks in advance

  1. If you have any concerns about riding up hills while standing, perhraps try spinning instead.

That is, sitting down on the saddle and going down a few gears. Find a steady spin (cadence) & keep it constant.

That way you will be focusing on the cardio part of cycling & less of the strength component.

    Happy riding

  2. No you rear won't get bigger. In fact as you lose weight it will get smaller.
