  1. Well last time, I've road my bike was around 8 miles, it took me 30-45 minutes.

  2. Ride it and let us know?

    Thanks

  3. It depends a lot on the bike.   Presuming its kind of a clunker, it would take you about an hour to bike the 7 miles, give or take several minutes.   Maybe half that if the bike is not a clunker and you are in decent shape and on low.traffic areas.

  4. If your bike is a 26" or 27" you will be pedaling less times than on a 20" bike. The smaller the wheel, the more times you have pedal to get somewhere.

I've learned that even if feels a bit harder when you ride on a heavier gear, is less times you have to pedal to get there. It might be harder to get it going, but once you gain speed is a smooth ride and less pedaling youi have to do.

Riding on heaviest gear on a 26" Mountain Bike I can ride 2 miles in a good 15 minutes depending on traffic.

  5. sophie there are many factors of course, with the main ones being wind, type of bike(road or mountain), hills or mountains vs. flat land, and of course your personnal physical condition.  with all that said, the simple answer is that you will most likely ride between 8-10 mph.

  6. As others have mentioned about hills etc., at a relaxed pace of around 10mph you should be able to do this in 45min.

  7. Between 30 min. and 1 hour, depending on how fit you are and the conditions.

  8. Funny you should ask.....A cop buddy of mine and I sat along the main drag in our town not too long ago and shot radar on all the people ridding there bikes.  Most of the out for an evening ride mom and pops with no real place to go type people were all riding an average pace of 8 mph.  So my guess for you would be about 42 minutes give or take a few.

  9. sorry no idea

  10. Depends on many more factors than just the wind, such as the model of the bike, size, your body size, and the terrain.  Usually takes my average body size about an hour and a half to two hours to ride 7 miles on a flat surface using a conventional road bike.
