Bilbao?? ever been?? whats it like??

Question

thinking of booking a surprise trip for my boyfriend. at the beginning of june.

we leave portsmouth at 9.15 pm on fri, get to bilbao at 8am sun morning.

we have untill 1.15pm there and then cruise back which takes 29 hrs.

has any one done this?

its with p&o cruises.

sounds good and only £147 for both of us!!

any first hand experiance will be helpful, thanks!! xx

hi, have done this. its fairly good.

if driving down to portsmouth and leaving your car at the port, allow extra time, as when i went, you didn't park in the main car park, you was Directed to a secure car park, and from here a bus brings you to the port, about 5-10 ride.

when sailing across the Bay of Biscay, have a look out for the Whales.

Tip, bring yourself a small travelling kettle, and teabags, milk etc, as if like me, you love your tea / coffee, the resturants on the boats are only open certain Hours, and an adaptor plug, as if i remember right, the plugs are the two pin sort.

food and drink, is fairly priced on the ferry.
