Slaven Bilic believes Lokomotiv Moscow’s player need to alter the psychological state of the team after their 1-0 defeat in the Russian Premier League against Kuban Krasnodar
Lokomotiv Moscow recorded their third defeat of the ongoing Russian Premier League campaign against Kuban Krasnodar at Lokomotiv stadion (Moscow) on Saturday, having suffered defeats against the likes of Dynamo Moscow and FC Krasnodar
earlier this season.
The Railroader dropped down to the 4th spot on the league table and they now trail the league leaders, Anzhi Makhachkala, by three points.
Lokomotiv played the match on the back of a 1-1 draw against defending league champions, Zenit St. Petersburg, at Petrovsky stadium.
In aftermath of the outcome, Slaven Bilic has expressed his dissatisfaction over the team’s disappointing league results in recent weeks, saying that he need to work on the psychological state of the team if he is to see the Russian
outfit back on top.
And while most of the senior football analysts blamed the pitch for their defeat, Bilic thinks otherwise. The Croatian tactician revealed that the field had nothing to do with the outcome, telling that they won against Rubin Kazan
on the same ground this season.
“First of all I would like to congratulate Kuban for the victory. I am also glad with the work my players have shown on the field. Kuban were better than us for the opening 20 minutes of the game. But, after 20 minutes we were
able to bring the situation under control.”
“To sum up the first 100 days of my work, I can say that we have many ways to improve. For example, I would like to change the psychology of the team.” The Croatian Cup winner was quoted as saying.
Bilic revealed that his side failed to get a positive result despite playing attacking football in the second-half of the match. He insisted that the Lokhi were unlucky to score a goal despite creating a host of chances late in
the game.
The former Hajduk Split manager went on to tell that he made a host of changes in the composition after drawing their last game against the St. Petersburg club. He bemoaned the missed chances during the game and urged his side
to improve.
