Bilidn expected to be dominant in At The Races Handicap
Bilidn is expected to dominate proceedings in the At The Races Handicap at Ffos Las in England on Tuesday, July 17, 2012. A victory in the class-4 event will earn her a cash prize of £4,205.
There have been a lot of showers at Ffos Las, thus the ground will be heavy today. According to the forecast, more rain can hit the track before start of action, but it will not be heavy enough to cause abandonment.
A total of seven runners have been attracted towards the 1 mile 6 furlong event, which is scheduled to start at 16:15 GMT. However, this number might come down because of the track conditions.
No matter what the conditions, Bilidn will be one of the top contenders for victory in the race today, as she has been in spectacular form over the past few events. It will be difficult for her opponents to prevent her from taking the top spot at Ffos Las.
The bookmakers have given a general starting price of 2 to 1 to the young filly, who will definitely get the attention of the punters as well. The heavy ground will also be suitable for her and the spectators will be expecting a classy run from her.
The four-year-old runner was considered to be an average runner, as she struggled a lot for quite some time in her career. However, things started changing all of a sudden and she is now considered to be a dominant force in the sport.
Tiger Hill’s daughter made her debut in the sport back in 2010, but was unable to impress anyone back then. She took part in a couple of races that year and even failed to finish in the top five.
Nothing changed for the Noel Quinlan’s trainee in her second season, as she continued to struggle against her opponents and ended the year without any top-three finish.
The 2012 season also started on a negative note for Bilidn and it appeared that she would never even manage to be competitive, let alone win a race. However, things finally became positive for her and she has won five consecutive races this year. It seems
that her winning streak will continue at Ffos Las today under jockey, Chris Catlin.
