Bilidn hot favourite for Booker Cash & Carry Handicap
Bilidn is expected to walk away with a victory in the Booker Cash & Carry Handicap at Newcastle in England on Thursday, May 31, 2012. The winner of the class-6 event will be awarded a cash prize of £1,682.
The going will be good to firm in the 2 mile 19 yard event, which is scheduled to start at 20:45 GMT. A total of 10 runners have lined up for action and their names are as follows: Bilidn, Ad Value, Dechiper, Falcun, Escape Artist, Manager Mick, Sposalizio,
Bollin Julie, Shirls Son Sam and Short Supply.
Stamina will play an important role in determining the winner of the race, thus the best chances of victory are with Bilidn. She is carrying excellent momentum right now and it will be difficult to stop her from taking the top spot. The punters will also
be encouraged to place a lot of bets on her today.
The four-year-old filly struggled at the start of her career and she did not seem to have the winning tools. However, she managed to improve her performances recently and it now appears that no one will be able to stop her from taking the top spot.
Overall, the Noel Quinlan’s trainee has participated in 16 races, winning just a couple of them. Moreover, she has also secured the runner up spot once, which shows that she has the ability to fight at the front.
Importantly for Bilidn, she has managed to win a couple of back to back races and will be chasing a hat-trick at Newcastle today. She was dominant in her most recent run, winning it by four and a half lengths.
The favourite runner will be partnered by Chris Catlin, who has succeeded in quite a few races at this level. However, he is not known to be a consistent runner, thus might not be much confident.
On the other hand, Ad Value might spoil the part for Bilidn, as he is a decent performer. He does not have a good strike rate, but has the skills to spring up a surprise against the best in the business.
The four-year-old gelding has participated in 13 races, winning just a couple of them. In addition to that, he has also secured the third spot on three times.
