Bill Belichick ready for a bigger gamble in the form of Honda Classic
He might have lost on the NFL ground, but New England Patriots Coach Bill Belichick has decided to go for a bigger gamble.
His recent announcement of teeing it off at the Honda Classic sent a wave of excitement among his fans and audience.
However, he can still not neglect the source of distraction that will be present in the course, fans of New York Giants who will make it tough for the reputed coach.
About the upcoming event, Belichick said, "I'll just go out there and swing at it and hopefully made contact. If it's a bad shot, just pick it up and play their ball".
At the same time, Belichick realises the fact that the nature of golf is not as aggressive as the games played in NFL.
It is, therefore, difficult for not only players but also managers to adjust with the mood and temperament required playing a game like golf.
"It's good to be a part of it," said Belichick, "but it's not Tim Tebow, I know."
Tim Tebow is regarded as one of the most prominent swingers of the ball, with par-four green going more than 370 yards.
On the other hand, when compared with Belichick, a similar performance is being expected, which might not be very easy for the coach.
Furthermore, the experts are also eyeing Belichick’s encounter with the golf player and course designer, Greg Norman.
The senior golfer, who last participated in Mayakoba Classic at the El Cameleon Course, failed to make his mark after he failed to make the initial cut.
Pundits believed that it was his recently operated shoulder that affected his performance. Hence, it is being said that Norman will be delivering his best to remain within the mainstream of golf.
On the other hand, other players making it into the Pro-Am are taking the event rather lightly. Important to mention in this context is Thompson.
At the spot of 17, for the last three weeks she is enjoying a comfortable time watching other golfers teeing it off.
Like an NBA star, she is taking more interest in keeping her soundtrack list up to date than concentrating on her golf skills.
