  1. Bill Clinton will speak because he is still popular with the people. Even John McCain doesn't want George Bush to be available. If they choose Bush, they might as well choose the Grim Reaper.

  2. The Clintons are popular money raisers, and Hillary still wants the shot at Vice Pres..

  3. He is the last sitting Democratic President.  He is also the "leader" of the DNC.  It is a matter of protocol.

  4. Bill clearly hates Obama. But he is a prominent democrat so it makes sense to have him speak if he wishes.

  5. I did not see it as tepid.  I saw the media as using wording that was misleading at best when it quoted Clinton.  The moment I saw it I knew it would be an issue.

"I beleive he will be a good president and I beleive he will be president." is not "tepid" in my books.  Clinton is also the first one to answer the question...is Obama qualified, by stating that he, himself (Clinton) learned a great deal during his first year.

  6. Plain and simple:    POLITICS   ( keep kissing a**) You never know when you might need his and his friends support so keep it civil at all times, even though you hate his guts and think hes a has-been and a perv.

  7. It's a way for the Obama camp to soothe tensions over the Obama-Clinton rivalry, specifically after Hilliary said that she may allow her name to be put up for nomination at the convention.
