He did pass college, he just got bored and dropped out.  A lot of really smart people are bored with school.

I know a few people who are doing very well financially without completing college.  A lot has to do with drive, motivation and determination.

Gates quit school (along with Paul Allen, who is also one of the richest men on the planet) to found Microsoft.

However, the third member of their team, Steve Ballmar, did get his degree.

Creative genius doesn't require a degree.

By the way Einstein did graduate from high school and by his early twenties was already a respected physicist.

Bill Gates didn't accomplish anything on his own,   he stole the windows idea from Steve Job,

Steve Job was the sole inventor of "windows" he legally bought the mouse from xerox, and gave Bill Gates his internship he needed for collage,  then Bill Gates stole it and sold it to Microsoft,

College won't make you successful.  College is designed to give you some of the knowledge that you will need to get started on your career and to teach you to think critically.  

It is true that some of the richest people in the world didn't go to college.  These people are the exceptions.  For normal people, college is the basis for getting better jobs and making more money.

*gasp* and his name is William. He probably was too smart for Harvard and dropped out because he was bored. Some people do dropout and they still become successful. A lot of wealthy people today didn't go to college. Anything could happen.

I didn't go to college either.  I am young, make a good living, and have bigger responsibilities at work than most of me college educated friends.  Don't get me wrong schooling is always a good thing, but I don't believe college is what makes certain people succesful and others not.  I believe that it has more to do with not only hard work, but smart work as well.

He had a plan, a goal, desire and the willingness to work his butt off to get where he is.  It can and has been done; he's living proof.  If more people had his imagination and intensity there would be more successful folks in this country.
