The richest man in the world is doubling its bet on Spain. Market sources confirmed the news to forward this newspaper yesterday VozpÃ_puli according to which Bill Gates has bought between 2% and 3% of the capital of Prosegur. The entry in the shareholding occurred on 10 January when the security group placed " between a limited and reduced international investors group " 4% of its shares. The operation was conducted by the broker - JBCapital Markets Javier Botin - at a price of 4.95 euros per share.
The arrival of the founder of Microsoft to Prosegur months comes after him to buy 5.7% of FCC. Gates would have performed both operations through its investment fund Cascade Investments. In a day of falls in the stock market, shares of Prosegur escaped with a rise of 0.22 % due to the message of trust that involves input Gates. The Revoredo family controls 50% of Prosegur. The remaining shares, following the departure of Banca March, is in the hands of the market and several funds (Fidelity, M & G and Oppenheimer) have shareholdings greater than 3%.
