Bill Haas ready to bounce back CIMB Classic
Bill Haas had a decent 2012 season. He won once this year at the Northern Trust Open. Moreover, he sits at a decent rank on the money tour list and his world ranking is very promising indeed.
However, his last few results on the PGA Tour have been pretty disappointing. Just like many others on the tour, Bill decided to play the Fall Series overseas.
He is in the field this week at the CIMB Classic and he hopes to come up with a strong performance in Malaysia.
The world number 37 will be teeing off after a lengthy break from golf. He last teed up at the BMW Championship in the FedEx Cup playoffs, where he finished T45.
Bill probably needed a long break after a dismal round of 78 on Sunday at the BMW Championship. Haas was very disappointed and dejected after that round.
This lengthy break might prove to be beneficial for him, as breaks can freshen up sportsmen, especially after a bad patch.
Playing in Malaysia will not be easy. Firstly because the conditions are a bit alienated and secondly, because the field at the CIMB Classic is a strong one.
The 48-man roster includes some top golfers, including the former world number one and fourteen-time major winner Tiger Woods.
Bill must play some steady golf in the Kuala Lumpur. Setting extremely high goals can sometimes back fire if things do not turn out the way one would have hoped for.
So, the best thing is to play safe first up. Haas must look to play a flawless round, irrespective of how many birdies he scores.
Playing error free rounds always raises the morale and confidence of players. After that, things start to happen automatically for them.
The defending champion Bo Van Pelt will also be present in Malaysia to defend his crown at the CIMB Classic.
The winner of Inaugural CIMB Classic Ben Crane is also in the field after he got a sponsor exemption.
Tiger Woods has got the best chance to win his fourth title this year but experts are predicting a victory for Jason Dufner.
